Our youngest children are loved by consistent teachers in all our birth through preschool classes. We are using a curriculum that focuses on God’s love and character rather than good moral behavior. We believe wholeheartedly that right behavior follows a right relationship with God and not the reverse.
We currently have two classes for children that meet after 'Half-Time' (during Pastor Jim's sermon time). Your family can decide if you'd prefer to keep your children with you during the sermon or have them attend a Sunday School class. Classes are age-dependent: approx. 5 years old up through 2nd Grade, and 3rd through 6th Grade.
Abundant Life Church offers a youth group called The Faith Factor (from Ephesians 2:8) for young adults in grades 7-12. Youth group is held on Wednesday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on the church campus. Students have the opportunity to grow in their spiritual lives with a close group of supportive teens. They are currently studying "Simple Truth.” We prioritize community and prayer, as well as Bible study and Christian maturation. Periodically we have a game or movie night, or we do things outside of the church, such as seeing a movie, hiking, camping, ice skating, etc. No matter what the activity, we always spend time in God's Word.
ALC is in love with good music. In addition to our Praise & Worship Team, we have special opportunities (at Christmas, Easter, etc.) for your involvement.
We have a men's group that is centered around Bible studies and looking at the life of a Worshiping Warrior. We meet on Saturday's at 7:00 a.m. For more information please see Bill Barnes or send a contact request from our contact page.
Morning Group: This group meets at the church on Tuesday mornings at 9:00. During this time, you’ll be offered an opportunity to grow into a deeper spiritual relationship with God, and build solid friendships with other women at ALC. The study guide they’ll be using is Max Lucado’s Six Hours One Friday. For more details visit with Pam Coleman or Vicky Brinkley
Evening Group: The Monday evening women’s Prayer / Study group will begin their fall session on September 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the church. They’ll be using a “Women of Faith” study guide called Experiencing Spiritual Revival – Renewing Your Desire for God. There will be time for sharing and prayer, and after each session you’ll leave the group feeling closer to God and closer to your sisters in Christ. If you have questions or would like to attend, talk to Teresa Cawthon or Avonne Kettler.
If you’d like to be a pray-er for those of us here at ALC, or if you have a prayer request you’d like to pass along for others to be praying about, the Prayer Chain is for you.
You might guess that this is one of our most popular events, and you’d be right! On the last Sunday of each month, right after the church service, we gather together to share food and fellowship. Come spend lunch time with our church family so we can get to know you, and you can get to know us a little better.
We currently provide financial support to three overseas missionaries (serving in Africa, Asia, and Russia), as well as Life Choices Pregnancy Center. Missions support is funded by a tithe (1/10th of our offerings) and currently administered by our Elders.
